What do I need to start yoga?

Comfortable yoga clothes and a very positive attitude. We do have yoga props like chair, blocks, bricks, ropes, blankets etc to help you in your practice and make you at ease.

What if I am new to yoga?

You can share all your doubts, questions regarding anything before class, after class or anytime. With time, you would see all your doubts disappearing and getting deeper in your pose.

How often should I practice?

Though Yoga is meant to be a daily practice, it could be quite overwhelming to a beginner, so we recommend you set a goal you can realistically keep.

What if I can’t do a pose?

We must crawl before we can walk and walk before we can run, same applies to yoga. You can ask the teacher for a modification. To make your practice your own, we focus more on the non-competitive nature of yoga. We make you learn to honour your body and doing what is best for you—not forcing yourself into a shape that you aren’t ready for.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

Yes, we do suggest you to register in advance for workshops and classes.

Ok. So I am ready to take my first class, what should I expect?

Please arrive at the studio about 15-20 minutes before class time. You’ll be shown where to leave your personal items, reminded to turn off your cell phone, and directed into the studio where you can set up your mat and stretch or meet the other students in the room. Arriving early will also give you time to ask the teacher any questions you might have, and tell him/her about any injuries or physical conditions he/she should know about.
